FT-BC-6311C系列串口通訊服務器，也叫終端服務器或串行服務器，是異步串行口RS232和以太網之間的一個轉換器。是一個帶有CPU和嵌入式OS及完整TCP/IP協議棧的獨立智能設備。完成RS232和以太網之間的數據雙向透明傳輸，可以讓RS232串口設備立即聯接網絡。
