本星型廣播式音頻光端機用于組建廣播式音頻光纖網絡，實現1路立體聲音頻在光纖星型網絡上透明傳輸。由于采用了光纖作為傳輸介質，可以*避免惡劣環境下雷電、浪涌、電磁干擾等對設備的威脅。
局端為一路立體聲音頻向8個方向的光纖發射機，遠端為8臺立體聲音頻的接收機，出線管理方便，用于將主場的1路立體聲音頻向8個分場廣播的應用場合。
