光放大中繼器OEO采用光-電-光的轉換原理使光信號再生,從而實現光信號的再生放大可應用于光信號的單多模轉換、OEO放大，實現低成本、高質量的光信號放大方案。它能配合其他（如DWDM，OADM，DCM，EDFA等）組建成整套的光網絡傳輸系統。
