簡單、高效的工程組態與在標準系統中一樣，SIMATIC S7-400H 可以使用所有 STEP 7 編程語言進行編程。可以很容易的把程序從標準系統遷移到冗余系統中，反之亦然。當加載程序時，它會自動傳送到兩個冗余控制器中。使用 STEP 7，可以對特定冗余功能和配置進行參數設置。
